To understand the probable reasons, why phone doesn‘t see SIM card, first of all let’s define what makes it. The SIM card has 6 or 8 contacts, through which the modules are connected to the mobile terminal, but they can not all be used. So if you need a SIM card of a different size than the one you have, do not cut it yourself so as not to harm the stable operation of the card. Now a new generation of SIM cards is gaining popularity. digital eSim. Their peculiarity is that they are already soldered into the motherboard of a smartphone or tablet. To connect eSim it is necessary to buy a special starter pack with a unique voucher (for lifecell it costs 150 UAH). Then scan the QR-code, which is on the voucher, and after that eSim on the gadget will be activated, and the subscriber will receive the number. At TriMoba the voucher is sent by email, after the purchase of the service in the online store. For now, the function of using eSim is only available in the operators lifecell and TriMob.

Determine what exactly is not working
In most cases the previous advice is unlikely to give you anything. There are many possible causes of failure, so then it is worth to localize the problem and find out whether it lies in the phone or in the SIM card.
It is quite easy to do it with the help of another knowingly working smartphone or SIM. You just need to insert a problematic card in someone else’s device or, conversely, put a tested SIM-card in your gadget.
If SIM is visible in other phone, then the problem is with yours. If another SIM-card is detected and works in your smartphone, the problem is with the card itself.
The first reason why your phone doesn‘t see the SIM card. the flight mode is on
Every Android phone has a built-in flight mode function (offline mode). If you activate it, mobile, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will be disconnected.
It can be activated accidentally without noticing anything. Turn off airplane mode and set the SIM card again to get a connection between it and your phone.
How to reset the network settings on your phone
And the last thing you should do if you find a problem, check all the settings in your phone. It’s probably the firmware or a system update on your smartphone that’s to blame.
First, try resetting the network settings. This will help you get back to the original Wi-Fi, mobile internet, and Bluetooth settings. So keep in mind that all paired devices will be forgotten, VPN and AP will be disabled, and Wi-Fi connection data will be lost.
- Unlock your smartphone.
- Go to Settings, System.
- Next, find Reset Settings and tap on it.
- Then click on Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile Internet and Bluetooth settings.
- Agree with the procedure.
