Anycubic mono x equipment

Anycubic mono x functions

To correctly adjust the distance from the platform to the UV screen, a sheet of paper is included in the kit. This sheet of paper is placed between the surface of the platform and the screen.

The starting position has already been precisely installed at the factory. After you put the paper on the screen, you can transfer the platform to its original position through the menu. You will notice that the printing platform is in contact with the surface, but does not press it, thanks to the weakened screws.

Press the printing platform and tighten the screws: at this stage, the tilt of the plate for printing is determined. Press the platform to the paper with one hand, and carefully tighten the four screws, one by one with the other hand.

Tighting of the screws will change the starting position on the axis z. Adjust the distance using a menu with a step of 0.1 mm so that a sheet of paper can be moved with some friction between the UV screen and the printing platform.


Mono X 6K photon is very similar to its predecessor, Photon Mono X, higher resolution. its main difference.

Printer setup

Photon Mono X will be comfortable in use with official Anycubic Slucer. It is called Photon Workshop. However, as a rule, you do not need to load it directly from the company’s website.

In the USB drive supplied along with this printer, this. Use it instead of downloading additional files. The device is also compatible with chitubox. However, Photon Workshop is still quite reliable software. It is interactive and very easy to use.

Anycubic cutting software does not look as perfect as Cura or Slic3r, but it has many interesting functions that, by general recognition, we have not fully investigated. You can add manual or automatic supports, rafts and drainage holes.

Photonworkshop is a little inconvenient for navigation, and studying how to place supports correctly requires some samples and errors. If you do not support your imprint enough, it will fail, and you will have to clean the resin tank before the next attempt, so it is very important that you find out how the supports work.

Transferring files to Mono X is completely easy. Download the file to the USB drive and insert it into the printer. BAM. During print, you will see images on the LCD screen of each layer as it exhibits it. It’s pretty fun to watch it. And Anycubic has an application for a phone with which you can track your prints and run them remotely.


As for maintenance, we would like the van with resin for the nose to be better designed. The resin does not spill cleanly, which makes it difficult to clean. over, when printing, the resin covers the top of the working plate, and not just its lower part, therefore, when it is time to clean, you need to clean the resin from both sides. This is regrettable, but we are not sure how this could be avoided.

Another complaint: it is difficult to remove the working plate so that the resin does not drip on the car. When you remove the workplake, you need to dance. It is difficult to hold it over the vat so that the resin does not drip everywhere. As soon as you get good prints stably, this will not be a big problem.

At some point, you will have to pour the resin back into the container in which it was, and clean the working plate. This process is not as convenient as it could be. Ideally, you will need to clean only the lower and side sides of the working plate. Be that as it may, there are many secluded corners and cracks that are filled with resin, and they all need to be cleaned. It looks like drying dishes that is taken out of the dishwasher.

We suspect that this is a compromise with a design that allows you to maximize the print area and at the same time leave enough resins for large printing. In addition, there are no funnels or filters that you need in the printer.

Setting up the Anycubic MONO X

We also tried to change the FEP sheet. FEP sheet is a film at the bottom of the resin container. If he stained, scratched or pierced, he must be replaced. As full of newcomers in the press with resin, we found that the installation of a new FEP sheet is quite simple. You need to tighten many screws, but following the instructions was easy. It was like a change and tuning of the plastic of a small drum, and the sound also looked like!


Like most Anycubic printers with whom we worked, Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K was very easy to assemble and configure. No serious assembly is required, you just need to attach the plate for assembly to the main case of the printer. Then you just connect the device and turn it on.

To protect the fantastic 6K screen, Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K comes with a protective screen, which you must install yourself, and we found that this is an absolute nightmare, to such an extent that we simply did not put on it. We made several attempts, following the instructions, but could not ensure that the protective film stuck without air bubbles, and the advice to squeeze them out using a plastic scrap also did not work.

As soon as you pasted the protective film (or threw it into the garbage bucket in a fit of anger), the rest of the installation becomes simple and pleasant. Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K has a 3.5-inch color touch screen, which is used to control the device. We found that the sensory screen is accurate and responsive, and the menu are located reasonably.

Further, following the instructions, you level the plate, and then install the container with the resin. Everything is clearly explained in the instructions that are attached to the printer, and there is even a spare sheet of paper for use when leveling. The leveling of tarry 3D printers is much simpler than their FDM analogues, so the whole process will not take you more than a few minutes.

After you configure everything, you just need to download the print file to the attached USB drive (or use the attached test file). Then you need to fill the bath with a resin, cover the printer with a lid with a UV lamp and start it.

If you are a beginner in 3D printing, keep in mind that the resin. This is a very unpleasant material. When working with it, you should always wear gloves, protective glasses and a mask. If she got on the skin or hands, wash them immediately, as this is a rather unpleasant skin irritant. Of course, do not swallow it and store it in no way for children and pets.

However, it is more important that the updated screen means that Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K has more than twice as many pixels on the screen of almost the same size, which theoretically means the best print resolution.

Software supplied with Anycubic Photon Mono X 6K. This is Photon Workshop, Anycubic’s own software. It is relatively easy to use, although we had several problems with its constant failure when trying to hide large models. We checked the Anycubic forums, and it turned out that failures. A fairly common complaint. Fortunately, you do not have to use this software: many Anycubic fans prefer to download Chitubox for orientation, seizure and create supports, and then simply cut the file using Photon Workshop to avoid problems. This is a correction, but the very fact that it is generally necessary is disappointed.
