Redmi 6 miui 11 is not coming

Yesterday, March 4, Xiaomi unveiled several smartphones of the Redmi Note 10 family. They are not yet for sale in Russia, but at the presentation they said that the official announcement in the Russian Federation will be later. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10S will go on sale with Android 11 pre-installed, and meanwhile, the eleventh revision of the OS from Google is coming to last-generation models and is putting them out of business.

Android 11 on Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9S is being sent out along with MIUI 12 software. Owners of the aforementioned smartphones have begun to report a noticeable drop in performance after installing the update. In particular, the speed of switching between open applications is reduced and there are freezes while scrolling pages in the browser and in the settings menu.

But this is not the only problem. With the transition to the operating system Android 11, along with a general decline in device performance noted incorrect display of incoming notifications, slowdowns when using the “live” wallpaper and glitches in the gesture control system. Users note that all of this eliminates when rolling back to a previous version of the software. The latest working version of MIUI 12 runs under the numbers v12.0.3.0, v12.0.5.0 and v12.0.7.0 depending on the region and model of the device.

Recall, all three smartphones are sold officially in Russia for almost a year. Each of them is equipped with a 5020 mAh battery and a Full HD liquid crystal display. They will start getting MIUI 12 firmware this year.5.

The ninth-generation flagship is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. It is available in a 6/128GB modification at a price of 23,990. For that money, the model offers a Snapdragon 720G mobile platform, NFC, a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit and an 8MP front module.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. a more modest model with similar stuffing. Instead of a 64-megapixel camera, it got a 48-megapixel module. Also the smartphone has lost support for Near Field Communication technology.

Not coming update on Xiaomi: why and what to do?

MIUI firmware is updated periodically, users receive important updates, including on the internet. However, some users complain about not getting updates. This does not really cause you to panic, but updates can come with delays. So, it’s easy to see on the forums dedicated to MIUI and Xiaomi: some users get updates later than others, although the smartphones are the same. In short, just wait. It may take a few days or weeks to receive the update, but you will get your.

By the way, when the update comes, you will see a corresponding message in the notification panel:

In addition, a number will appear on the Settings icon (relevant for MIUI 8 and 9):

You will see the number and in the About line of the phone:

And if the automatic update is enabled, the firmware will be downloaded when connecting to the Internet via Wi-Fi.

Alternatively, try updating manually. To do this open the settings, click on the line About the phone.

Click Check for updates. In this case the Internet must be enabled.

If there is a software malfunction, the system will help find the updates and install them.

And of course you can update manually with the firmware in the form of an archive downloaded from the official website Xiaomi. Of course, if the firmware is already there. But we recommend to wait for the update over the air, it is easier and more convenient.

Locking applications in RAM

This is a peculiar feature of the interface MIUI. First-time users will not be immediately aware of it. The idea is that you can select the applications that will always be in RAM, even if you “close all” through the menu of running applications. This is a very useful feature to fix in memory messengers, social networks () and “caller”. Thanks to this, docked apps open almost instantly, MIUI will force them to work, protecting them from unexpected closure. After reloading your smartphone all the “pins” still work.

To do this, in the menu of running programs you need to “swipe” down the shortcut of the desired application (that is, the one where there is a failure of notifications) and click on the lock. A padlock should appear on the shortcut, which means that the app is locked to RAM. To cancel the pin, you just need to swipe the label up.

The new version of the global firmware for smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is released. Owners of this model should update carefully, because the global firmware (Global ROM) is actually released for the Indian version of the phone Xiaomi.

redmi, miui, coming

Therefore, before updating it is recommended to check what version of the phone you have. If for the Chinese market, it is better to reflash to the custom. Then the Russian language and all services of Google will appear. If it is global for the Indian market, then you can update and install MIUI for Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro.

For now the firmware V10.0.2.0.ODMMIFH available for most users. Link to download the full version is available on the official MIUI website in the “Downloads” section

What’s New?

Russian MIUI for Xiaomi, Mi, Redmi, POCO

Xiaomi не загружается дальше логотипа (бутлуп): почему и что делать

Here are collected the latest official Russian firmware versions for Xiaomi, Mi, Redmi and POCO phones. Each version has an Android generation and release date.

Introduced only stable russian builds for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices. To download the update, follow the link on your smartphone’s name: firmware for other regions is also available there. Fastboot ROM, Recovery ROM and OTA Update files are downloaded in their original form from Xiaomi website.

Alternative ways: Recovery and Fastboot

Apply in cases where the OTA, for whatever reason, did not come or it can not be installed. Recovery is often used to install “clean” MIUI, but Fastboot is useful if the update was not successful and the phone turned into a brick.

In this case you can use the MIUI stock firmware. You can download the official MIUI from the archive and flash it manually.

  • Download the ZIP-file with firmware, rename it to and put it to update.Put it in the root of your SD card.
  • Turn the phone off.
  • Press power and volume buttons simultaneously.
  • On the menu that appears choose Install to System One.
  • When the process is complete, reboot the device by selecting Reboot to System.

Firmware should be named If the name will be different the recovery just will not see the file and flashing new version will not be possible.

Fastboot allows you to solve the problem of failed update when the phone turned into a brick. Fastboot mode has many other features, but today we will focus only on the Xiaomi reflash.

To install OTA via Fastboot you need to download MiFlashPro program.

The process of flashing the smartphone is a little more complicated:

  • Download the flash files archive and extract them to any location on your PC.
  • Start MiFlashPro, go to the Mi Flash tab.
  • At first launch it will offer to install required drivers. Press Install button.
  • After installing the drivers, press the Select button and select the folder with the unpacked firmware in the explorer window.
  • Turn off the smartphone and then press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously to enter Fastboot mode.
  • Connect your smartphone to PC with USB cable.
  • In the program window click Refresh.
  • After the software detects the phone, at the bottom of the window choose save user data or clean all and lock the bootloader.
  • Click on Flash button.

The installation process takes from 5 to 10 minutes. After this procedure your phone will restart automatically.

Keep in mind that under this scenario of firmware update you can lose all your data. That’s why it’s better to create backup copy.

There’s also a set of Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools that help flash Xiaomi smartphones with a couple of button presses. In essence, it is a command line ADB with graphical interface.
