Why does the monitor go out on its own?
In a computer, the video card is responsible for displaying the image on the monitor. Its malfunction may be the reason why the monitor screen dims while the system unit is running. The most common video card malfunction, which can lead to temporary interruptions in the signal output, is related to overheating.
If the monitor lights up for a while after you turn it on and then goes out immediately, then the problem is most likely with the backlight bulbs. A common problem with monitors is also failure of the voltage inverter. You can also try disconnecting the monitor cable from the computer.
iPad is overheating?
There are several factors that can affect iPad overheating. If you run complex processes that require full CPU power, see “Power On” in the System Setup section of this manual. Advanced video editing, device heats up. This is normal. Temperatures higher than recommended can also be critical.
Equipment overheating can cause damage to some specific components and the device as a whole, even rendering it unusable. However, the iPad, like the iPhone, has a protection system this causes them to shut down if they detect a very high internal temperature. Consequently, this can also be the reason why your iPad shuts down unexpectedly, although the screen usually displays a message informing you of the reason.
Recall that the battery discharges faster in the cold. So if your iPhone suddenly runs out of power and shuts down in the cold. unpleasant, but normal, as the company itself warns.
The smartphone is equipped with a lithium-ion battery, which normally works only in the temperature range of 0. 35℃. Store and carry your iPhone in a wider temperature range. from.20℃ to 45℃. But just want to listen to music in the cold or take a nice picture in the snow. Be prepared for a rapid decrease in charge.
Replacing the battery is not going to help, but there are a few tricks that will help save precious percentages of charge:
- Wear a case. Not a fur coat, but minimal clothing as a barrier to the cold will.
- Carry your iPhone in the inside of your jacket. It will be warmer there, and therefore it will be discharged more slowly.
- Take your PowerBank with you. The most energy is wasted when turning the device on. A portable charger can help speed up your phone’s power-up.
The problem caused by spilled coffee, falling in water or snow may not appear immediately. You can brag to everyone that your iPhone survived the drowning and continues to work normally. But over time, the problem makes itself felt. The phone starts to switch off and reboot spontaneously. Liquid got on the board. And the corrosion of components began. Only professional repair with disassembly, its proper drying, replacement or restoration of damaged elements is needed.
How much damage to the iPhone after a wet trouble happened, depends only on you. Do not put the device on charge, do not turn it on to check the functionality. Turn it off immediately and take it to the professionals for drying as soon as possible. You’ll get off cheap and you’ll be enjoying your favorite gadget in no time.
How to diagnose problems and find solutions
To understand why your Mac spontaneously turns on and off, you’ll need to take a look at the symptoms. It’s one thing if your Mac shuts down on startup, won’t start after an update, and it’s another thing if it shuts down while you’re working. If the system emits a squeak, shows a blue screen, gives an error message, does not log into the “Apple” account. it signals the cause of the problems.
- If a Mac shuts down on its own while running. the first thing to do is to check the temperature condition using specialized software. Your device may be getting hot, overheating, and shutting down. it’s a security breach. You could be suffering from clogging of the device’s chassis with dust or a cooling system malfunction. Listen to the fan cooler, and take your device to a service center where they will clean it, replace the thermal paste on the CPU, and repair the cooling system. Overheating should not be ignored. it can lead to failure of the entire computer.
- If an error message appears before rebooting, it indicates a fatal kernel error, in which the operating system detects a failure and goes to reboot. You can find the cause of the problem by reading the error report. Update your operating system and programs, and temporarily disable any peripherals to resolve kernel errors. If that did not help. the problem is probably caused by a failure of one of the computer parts.
- If your Mac shuts down on startup, it could be the RAM modules or the hard drive. Check RAM modules, or temporarily disconnect them. If the problem disappears. go to the workshop and replace the defective modules. Also check the hard drive with the disk utility. you may call it by pressing Command R while turning on the device. Check the condition of the disk, try to fix the errors in the structure. Remember. if the cause of the malfunction is physical damage of the disk, only disk replacement will help, which should be entrusted to professionals.
- Another possible cause of independent shutdowns is a motherboard malfunction caused by marriage, overheating, or hitting the chassis of the device, which is especially true for MacBooks. Malfunctioning of a motherboard is accompanied by additional symptoms. If your external speakers do not work with sound, or if the USB port or other connectors do not work, the problem is most likely in the motherboard.
Any repair of MacBook or desktop Mac should be performed by professionals, so if you have any problems, please contact MasterSoft service center, where you will be offered free diagnostics and quick solution of problems with your Apple computer.

Configuration problems in Windows 10
Problems with operating system configuration or incompatibility with some programs may cause unexpected system shutdown, which is often preceded by the following error screen.
Drivers or controllers
You probably have the latest drivers installed for your devices (monitor, video card, printer, etc. д.), since they boot and install automatically with Windows Update. However, an error during the update process or during the initial installation may cause an error that causes the computer to shut down.
- Type Device Manager in the search box on the taskbar and select it.
- Select the categories of drivers that you want to update and right click on them.
- Click Update Driver.
- Windows will find it and update it. If you can’t find it, you’ll have to search for it manually on the manufacturer’s website.
- Search for Device Manager in the taskbar search box.
- Select category first, device second, and right-click.
- Click on Uninstall.
- Reboot your computer.
- Windows will take care of installing the driver again when it detects the device at computer startup.
Windows default power profiles are sometimes misconfigured, causing sudden shutdowns and restarts. If the problem with the shutdown occurs from here, it is recommended that you create a new default power configuration, we will do this by following these steps:
- Media key Windows x.
- We select the Control Panel.
- We click on Hardware and sound.
- Click on Power.
- Under “Preferred Plans” we activate “Balanced” (recommended).
- Click on Select start / stop button behavior in the left sidebar.
- Click on Change configuration currently unavailable.
- We disable Enable Fast Startup (recommended).
- We save change.
- Restart the computer waiting for the problem to resolve.
It may happen that we do not have notifications activated and we do not know or do not remember that we have a scheduled restart pending, this usually happens after a Windows 10 update. Actions of this type are usually done after hours, that is on a schedule that we mark as active.
To resolve this type of untimely restarts, we can go to Start / Settings / Updates and Security. There we can temporarily suspend updates for 7 days and also resume them.
- We go to This command and right click and click on Properties.
- We go to Advanced System Configuration and Advanced Settings.
- We choose Start and Restore. and then Settings.
- Deactivate the option “Restart automatically”.
Malware or virus
Another reason to consider is if we have been infected by a virus on our computer or if we have any other type of virus. Malware or remote access. If you have deactivated Windows Defender and Windows Firewall, activate them, if you have already done so it is better to use other third party programs. For this we need an antivirus such as Avast for example which has a free plan and a firewall such as ZoneAlarm for example.
It’s possible that any of the malicious activity mentioned is causing some sort of problem on your system that’s causing unexpected disconnections, so cleaning it up is a priority.
If after the fall the device screen remained intact and you can not see any dents on the body. it’s not 100% certain that the smartphone is intact. Very often after such cases and start spontaneous reboots and turn off the phone at the most inopportune moment. The reason. microcracks in the main board (located inside the case) or breaks in the wires that connect the screen, battery and other components between themselves.
If the back cover is removable, you can try touching the board with an insulated object. If the phone shuts down, you must take it to a service center: this problem cannot be fixed by yourself. From the options of self-recovery performance after mechanical effects on the device, you can try to reinstall the SIM-card, memory expansion card and battery.
Also spontaneous shutdown is often caused by hardware problems. overheating or incorrect operation of the processor, RAM or radio module failures. Such faults are diagnosed only in service centers and it is impossible to solve them independently. Sometimes the emergency shutdown is caused by running multiple resource-intensive apps at the same time. Unload from memory those processes that are not needed at the moment and try to run your smartphone. If it does not turn off. make the appropriate settings in the “Programs” section and limit the “appetites” of “voracious” programs.
